In Microsoft Excel 97 make sure that under Tools, Options, Transition, you are set to use
Microsoft Excel menus and that Transition Navigation Keys is not checked off.
 

•    Hit F5
•    Type "X97.L97" without quotes, and click OK
•    Hit your Tab key once
•    Hold down Ctrl-Shift and while still holding them down, click on the icon for chart wizard.

Your screen should turn into an airplane simulator.

BTW keep in mind:

You need Excel 97 and not some other version (go to Help ==> About )

The simulation will only engage once per session (restart Excel)

Controls are Left and Right Mouse buttons to accelerate / decelerate (reverse)
